In thirty cities around the world, including Toronto, thousands rallied and marched to protest the unilateral termination of the ceasefire by the Zionist state. After a two-month hiatus, the heavy bombardment of Gaza resumed. Over four hundred Palestinians, a majority of them children and women, were killed in the early hours of the day by the punishing barrage unleashed by the Israeli air force.
The Zionist monster again intensifies its barbaric war against the Palestinian people in Gaza, after weeks of blocking food, medical aid and electricity in violation of the negotiated military pause.
Unsurprisingly, U.S. President Trump, who obscenely dreams about owning Gaza and transforming it into “the Riviera of the Middle East” for rich people – fully endorses the renewal of Israel’s genocidal war. It is no accident that Washington started a murderous bombing campaign against Yemen two days earlier.
The increasingly unpopular Zionist Prime Minister Netanyahu, who faces a trial for corruption, is confronted by angry protests of Israelis who prioritize the return of Israeli prisoners of war instead of renewing the armed conflict. Netanyahu and his far-right party allies want war in keeping with long-term plans to expand the colonial settler state, and to deflect attention from the domestic political crisis.
Notwithstanding the detested U.S. tariff offensive, the Canadian government remains a loyal partner of Trump in supporting the Zionist genocide and facilitating the shipment of weapons to Israel. It is revealing that the new Liberal Prime Minister Mark Carney recently appointed arch-Zionist MP Marco Mendocino to be his Chief of Staff in Ottawa.
The amazing global movement of solidarity with the Palestinian people continues in the streets to demand Ceasefire Now! No Arms to Israel. Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions against the Zionist state. Where a People are Occupied, Resistance is Justified. Palestine will be Free, from the River to the Sea!
