In the wake of merciless Zionist bombardment of refugee tent encampments in Gaza, hundreds rallied and marched in Toronto on September 10. Dozens of Palestinians, many of them children, were murdered by the aerial onslaught directed against people who have been displaced again and again.
The Toronto protest, initiated by the Palestinian Youth Movement, condemned the hypocrisy of the Justin Trudeau-led Liberal minority government that persists in backing the Israeli colonial-settler state, supplying it with weapons and armaments supposedly banned by a resolution Parliament passed on March 19, 2024.
The chanting crowd that occupied the busy intersection of Yonge and Bay streets, location of the Zionist consulate, purchased over forty “End the Occupation. Free Palestine” buttons, along with copies of the Socialist Action monthly journal The Red Review.
